ROCK IN RED DESERT SAND, MALI
The “Rock in Red Desert Sand“ landscape is found in the Northern parts of Mali where the sand is red. The rock is of a softer lava rock material since it has been grinded flat on top by sands and wind.
The sand is bright red and blue and the rock emerges from the sand as if it had been uncovered by sand. The dark stamps are the local bushes covering the area in dense or scattered numbers.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
“Geosperical Landscapes” is a landscape project by Wild Things where planet Earth is viewed through the eyes of a satellite. The images show the impact human kind has on the landscapes surrounding us as well as the impact landscapes have on us. The landscapes also serve as a time capsule of how the ever-changing landscape and human structures looked at this time in history.
