EDGE OF THE MOUNTAINS, TOLEDO, SPAIN

DECRIPTION:

The “Edge of the Mountains“ is a landscabe from Toledo in Spain. The Montes de Toledo is a mountain range created by the tectonic plates of Africa and Eurasia that push towards each other, the same forces that created the Alps and the Pyronees. The summits of the Toledo mountain range are flat because they are relatively old and the summits are slowly but surely grinded by winds and rains.
This effect combined with the beautiful farmlands creates a beautiful and dramatic landscape.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:

“Geosperical Landscapes” is a landscape project by Wild Things where planet Earth is viewed through the eyes of a satellite. The images show the impact human kind has on the landscapes surrounding us as well as the impact landscapes have on us. The landscapes also serve as a time capsule of how the ever-changing landscape and human structures looked at this time in history.
